Rogers Black Friday Flyer Released!

Rogers Black Friday Flyer Released!
This deal has expired! This deal has expired!

Rogers has just released its Black Friday flyer and we're here to give you the low down on this year's deals.

This year, they are offering up to $100 off any Android smartphone on select 2 year plans. This is the only deal in the flyer that expires on December 2nd.

Here are some models of the newest phones for you to consider:

  • Samsung Galaxy S4
  • Nexus 5
  • LG G2
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 3
  • Moto X
  • Sony Xperia Z1

This deal is only valid on new activations and the 2 year plan must have a minimum monthly service fee of $60 if it is your primary line. If you are purchasing a new phone for a secondary line, you'll be required to have a minimum monthly service fee of $45.

Furthermore, if you choose the Samsung Galaxy S4 or the Note 3 as your phone of choice, you'll be able to pay only $49.99 (Reg. $330) for a Samsung Galaxy Gear! This offer doesn't end until January 6th, but if you wait until then, you'll lose the benefits of the $100 off deal they have for Black Friday.

Rogers is also offering a special deal on stocking stuffers such as the Fitbit Zip Wireless Activity Tracker on sale for $49.99 and the Fitbit Flex Wireless Activity+Sleep Wristband for $99.99. You can save $5 on your total purchase of 2 accessories or $10 if you purchase 3. This offer doesn't expire until December 31st.

All in all, we think the best deals would be on the stocking stuffers as well as the Samsung Galaxy Gear for $50. If you're planning on activating a Samsung phone, it would be best to get it before Dec 2nd so you can save $100 and get the Gear. Also, for those looking to activate a new phone plan, now would be a good time to act as you would be able to save $100 off the newest models.

All deals listed in the flyer are active starting November 28th. As mentioned previously, they have varying expiry dates, so check the dates on the flyer first!

    • It's not actually entirely for new act. At FS (at least on VIP tomorrow) it's going to show up as a bill credit for Rogers activations.

I would prefer to subscribe after the new regulations will start (Dec 2nd)

    • I have one line with Rogers. If I get a secondary for $45, can I cancel my first line and keep the $45 deal? Can I get this at Bestbuy?

    • Welp, Dec 2 is the deadline, it's also the CRTC deadline for no longer pushing 2 year contracts...

    • Sorry, that would be the Dec 2 deadline for halting 3 year contracts.

It's a moot point. I don't think they offer 3 year contracts anymore.

    • I'm looking at the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Rogers website shows it's 199 with the $100 discount. Futureshop/BB show it's $99 with Rogers. I'm confused?

    • How'd you get the mail in from Samsung?
And you had to get a personal plan to get this offer right? what's your month price plan like?

That's true for normal consumers. Businesses on the other hand...I'm still stuck on these 3 years but apparently subscription rates go up on 2 years =/ not sure if they're blowing smoke up my ***** though.

From what I understand that is correct. I believe the laws only apply to consumer plans not corporate plans.

I guess the details will be in the package, 3-5 days from now. You'll have to get another plan. Anybody want to buy Samsung Gear Watch, BNIB.

    • I got the Samsung S4 today. $50 for the phone but they give you $50 mail-in rebate. They charge you $15 for the Administration Fee and Taxes. This will be added on your next phone bill.

I also got the Samsung Gear Smartwatch for $49.99 plus tax. But you can only get the Samsung Gear in-store. You will to pay $56.49 [with taxes] in the store.

    • I just called in on behalf of my wife's recent upgrade. The CSR said that they would credit the difference because she upgraded 15days ago. Just got the 100 off credit for her phone purchase 2 weeks ago. I was told that they will only have pricing matches for the first 15 days after an upgrade

    • Not that great of a deal,

Called in the first time, guy was misleading.

Did a sale's live chat the second time, she cleared it up.

Basically you pay for the plan, e.g. $30 for 1 GB, and it's doubled to 2GB, + all the other crap.

You then Pay $45 a MONTH ontop of your $30 PLUS TAX, or bring your own smart phone for $35/mo. + Admin fees, etc.

So you are spending 75+tax=$84.75/mo They will tell you, "You are only paying $42.375." .. for the first three months, then it jacks back up.

Sure you get a free "phone" but $85/mo for a plan, hell no.

      FYI.

    • I have the corporate 350 plan with 5gb of data and was able to get the rebate on a previously purchased phone. This deal works for regular hardware upgrades not only new activations. Depending on your existing plan / upgrade eligibility, this deal may be that final push for an upgrade. I let my mother know about it and now she really wants to get rid of her 2.5 year old iphone.

Does anybody have the FS/BB advert for this $99 deal? I'm having some fun with Rogers over the Black Friday deal.
