The other is- I am on chatr and my mobile data is not working- I tried the APN setting on android forums.
any assistance? figured it out- chatr website- under FAQ there is a video works on network internet.
and should i upgrade to the latest version or just add one of those applications that will clear all the bloatware?
thank a lot
I don't even know if the problem is AudioWizard anymore, it's probably just the DAC in this thing sucks.
I think you can run some adb commands as well to forcefully uninstall it
Good job
I took a hundred photos in various light conditions (full-auto, avoided manual settings) and the Asus seemed more natural and warm (very similar to an iPhone 6S camera) while the G5+, though sharper and more contrasting at times, was very cold. In low light, the Asus did not capture images as well, but the Moto was incredibly noisy, perhaps due to a higher auto ISO -- I'd still prefer seeing a black sky than a fuzzy TV screen sky.
Battery life and performance were very impressive for both, though new phones are always like that. Both screens looked very crisp and sharp, though the Asus one seemed brighter under max brightness. The G5+ looks and feels like a mid-tier phone, while many people mistook the ZF3 for an iPhone or a flagship Android. In fact, this testing has made me question the need to ever buy a flagship Android again.
Overall, despite the lack of NFC, the Asus Zenfone 3 is still a solid keeper, and a very decent option even at its full $429 price. Also, though I hate using phone cases, the massive size and all-glass build of the Asus requires it (I got one from AliExpress for $0.90USD; Amazon deals are a major rip-off).
also I was looking at the official case and see that it's cheap hard plastic and not going to protect the phone in a drop

For the glass screen protector, I don't think there is any good fit one in the market as I believe the company initially did the molding made a big mistake. The manufacturer used the bad molding to make the product and sellers re-brand same defected product. I think all sellers should make a recall as the product basically doesn't fit the phone properly.
It also detects the impedance of whatever you plug in and limits the voltage accordingly. I can trick it by plugging in 2 adapters first and then my headphones it sounds MUCH better.
IMO see if "Best Skinz ever" has a jelly/film type skin available. that would probably work best but is kind of sticky, and your finger wont glide as easy.
also yes our phones are using the world wide firmware
As for keyboards, i had to uninstall the zenboard even to use gboard. Weird. Usually you can just select which you want but the option too disable zenboard was greyed out.
- 3rd party charger is fine, I use the RAVPower 6 port charger and it works fine. I use the USB-C cable that came in the box, but I have tried Anker USB-C cables as well and they work fine.
- Case suggestions: I have 2 cases, rugged and and this one. Both are a little thick but offer good protection. I like the second one better, even though the kickstand is flimsy, the fit and button feel is better.
- Screen protectors: Impossible to find a tempered glass screen protector that won't lift from the sides. Don't waste your money. The glass is curved so you will have to use a regular screen protector. I got this . It is not tempered glass, but works fine without bubbles. Comes with front and back protectors.
- Keyboard: You can change the default keyboard, I use the Google Gboard and it works fine.
- Bloatware: I disabled all Asus apps except Camera, Gallery, Phone, Contacts, Weather, Clock and a couple others. I use Nova Launcher, Android Messages and this pixel theme https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... n.v2.pixel
I also like this Pixel Icon Pack (Free): https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... elui&hl=en
You can get a stock like experience by getting Nova Launcher, Google Messages(for SMS), Pixel Theme, Pixel Icon Pack and Google Gboard. Also with Google Photos, you get free 100GB Drive storage for 2 years I believe
Also after updating to Nougat, you can change the DPI. I have mine to smallest and also the font which I changed to small. Looks better as everything is oversized by default Asus standards
Did some searching and apparently Asus has limited the headphone jack output to 0.3V for some damn reason (it's an EU regulation, the WW model is 0.9V).

I'm probably returning mine because I listen to a lot of music on my phone. It's that bad.
So if a fellow user in either Montreal, Ottawa, or Toronto (be there in two weeks) missed the deal, I can consider selling it at cost. Just PM me
I did end up ordering it anyway in case they were wrong so I'm happy to hear that.
The only one they guarantee to work is the included adapter and cable - doesn't mean others aren't fine.
things to make the phone run awesome:
-So far we need to remove the bloatware- and install google or something else.
-saw something regarding the keyboard.
-case- any suggestions is the $29.99 at best buy the best option for this phone?
-glass protector -everyone getting this as well?
(as reasonably expected)
When USB c first launched a couple years ago there were cheap Chinese cables that were not built to USB-c spec for higher power draws and signalling - you could fry a device unintentionally.
Using a proper brand cable should not be an issue. They just say this as the only cable they will g guarantee to work is theirs.
Just get some cheap usb to USB C adapters and you can use your old chargers.
