Forum user prettyha8 has spotted a 24-Hour TV Sale over at Dell.ca. The selection is pretty small, but one of the offers looks pretty interesting. We're talking about the 40" Sharp Aquos 1080p LCD HDTV with Sharp Aquos BD-HP22U Blu-Ray Player for $999 with free shipping.

The TV model is the LC40E67U. It's a 60hz set. Among other things, it has 4 HDMI inputs, 2 component inputs, and D-Sub input for PCs. As a bit of a price comparison, BestBuy.ca currently lists this television for $949.99. With the Blu-ray player bundled in the price and Dell.ca's normal free shipping taken into account, the offer definitely has some merit. The offer is good until 6AM eastern time on October 27.

  I am fairly new to the HDTV world, and am looking at getting my first HDTV. Should I take the plunge with this?

- I wonder why the Viewsonic N3235w - a 720p set (Amazon.com, CNet review) - is listed with an optimal resolution of "1920x1080" (1080p)?! That's just plain misleading. If you hit the Tech Specs tab it does at least specify that it's only 720p.
  
  TV listings shouldn't be that hard: Make, Model, Size, Resolution, Perhaps Refresh rate (assume: 60hz if not specified).

  OP's thread is about Canadian deal and not US. Dell USA sells this TV for $674 so if Dell Canada would PM it then it would be good deal but I doubt it since they are including BD player.

  I purchased that sharp tv for 523$ US last time I was in the states at Sears. BTW, I also returned it the following day - the picture was subpar (reds are pink) and it doesn't do 1080p over VGA.
