View allI just received an email from TDSamsungGalaxyTabContest@MBCMarketing.com saying that I have been - not sure if it is legit or not.
Is MBC Marketing responsible for administering the contest?
My main reason for concern is that they open the email by saying "Per our earlier telephone conversation, we are pleased to confirm that your entry has been selected in the TD Samsung Galaxy Tab Contest. "
I have not received an earlier telephone conversation...
If this is legit, then WOOHOO!
If it is not, I do not want to submit the declaration form that they are asking me to sign and submit.
Thanks in advance!
And when I was attempting a new application in the section About you I got the following message: "Unfortunately, we were unable to complete your application online. Please visit a TD Canada Trust branch to complete your application in person".That's unbelievable!
Bottom line - TD is on top of the offer, but may not communicate with their branches or their telephone reps. Not only does the left hand not know what the right hand is doing, I'm not certain the right hand knows what the right hand is doing. Next step - go to branch and close out account.
Tuck
BMO never ever give anything to existing customers, not even lottery.
I called TD and the rep was super friendly and professional. She even made sure I received the tablet if I want to cancel or downgrade my account. You can transfer all your funds out and cancel over the phone. No penalty at all. I decided to downgrade to $2k min for now.
This tablet is good as free but for 200? No thank you. There are way better tablets out there in the market. This tablets specs just doesn't hold up.
I believe it was created by Samsung solely for TDs promo. Who would honestly pay that much for a sub par tablet in 2015

I have the 360 case for another tablet and it works well but gets bulky sometimes depending on how you hold the case/tablet.

I'm not sure if I should get a screen Protector...they sell like 5 for $5,but you only need 1 or 2 max
Heard nothing from the shipper so I emailed them this morning about it. Got back the following. Not sure if or when shipper would send me shipping confirmation if I hadn't emailed them.
So about 5.5 weeks total from opening account. Quicker than I expected.

None of their Display is 1080p...its 720p. Even nexus 7 had 1080p. Although youtube videos look good. Can't tell much of a difference full screen unless you look at youtube preview thumbnails;they are obviously blurred badly but at full screen video looks good.
Volume at 10% is very weak, at 40% it's normal, at 100% it's loud enough. Wish the volume would shift so that 40% is loud so it has more range.
Apps compared to my phone look a tiny bit more cartoonish and soft edge but nothing major at all.
I don't have another tablet for myself so this is good for being free. However I would not buy it for 250 retail at all. Specs are bad for being a 2015 tablet but better than old TD promos
I'm a newbie to the Android OS but wanted to root the TD-tablet (Android equivalent to jailbreaking in iOS).
Just wanted to share that it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, worked out pretty simple (when I wasn't breaking things by installing unsanctioned things on it)
Step 1 - download Odin from official site
Step 2 - download stock recovery & root version from the 2nd link
Step 3 - figure out how Odin works, and load the rooted version
ta-da! it's done.
Got all the resources from this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android ... 0-t3126827
And I looked up separate instructions for how to use Odin.
Edit: it's a clip used to attach a case/cover
Just arrived on my doorstep ..no email from TD , or UPS or the third party who ships them ..but a few others got some emails.
So don't worry it will come, irrespective of any communication, if you fulfilled the conditions
