Question: Can I now cancel all my direct deposits and stop using this account to make bill pays? Or can TD potentially take the $300 back?
Opened account Sep 27. Paid a $50 Bill the same day, Tangerine FTD took place Oct 2nd,
Closed the account and got a draft - Fee waived
September 21 - Made a payment to my CC, started the link between Tangerine and TD
September 22 - Link completed between Tangerine/TD, set-up recurring payment for the 25th (Monday)
September 25 - Tangerine recurring withdrawal to Chequing account
September 28 - Tangerine recurring withdrawal to Savings account (I did both since some people were saying they had success while doing it to savings but not to chequing. Not sure if this made a difference)
October 6 - $300 deposited into TD Chequing account
October 7 - Called into TD to cancel account. Transferred money out before, only had to pay $10 for fees since I didn't deposit $4,000 to start.
So in total a little over 2 full weeks between opening, receiving the $300 and closing the account. I'd have posted the actual log from TD but I can't see that anymore since the account is closed.
Edit: received my $300 this morning! Oct 6th
Confirmed with TD
"Thanks for reaching out. I can certainly appreciate your interest in your eligibility for the offer.
After reviewing your account it appears you have completed the two necessary conditions for the offer. You should receive the credit within 8 weeks of completing the last condition.
If you\'d like us to confirm your eligibility, please write back after this Friday and we can have a look at the Campaign Tracker for you.
Let me know if there\'s anything else I can help you with today.
All the best,"
would "moving money" from my TD account to Tangerine's TFSA monthly for $50+ be considered a PAD (preauthrozed debit)??
Thank you
Although I know people that claimed the Tab 4 and still received the $300 for this promo.
I'll contact TD to confirm anyways
I setup the account online yesterday. When I logged in now to EasyWeb I see the two mortgages.
Anyone know if this voids the $300 promotion?
I opened my account in branch.... I got an email the next day from the adviser asking me why I wanted to close the account as the national call centre sent that person a message telling them I closed it.
Made 282$ without much effort.
Much appreciated!
When I go to 'pay bills' on my TD account, it says this function is only for full access cards, and I would have to go into a branch to process it with a limited card.
You could make it more frequently than monthly, but why would you want to?
I had an open TD LOC and still got the bonus.
a) Register a recurring direct deposit
b) Make a online bill payment (minimum $50)
c) Register a recurring pre-authorized Debit (minimum $50)
So is this good.
Open account , setup move my money from tangerine - should it be monthy or any frequency?
- and pay bill ?
Thanks!
We both have LOC with TD, so funds are easily TSF In/Out during A/C opening/closing.
Closed both A/Cs over the phone, so its possible to close "New A/C" under 30-days!
So, I would definitely call TDDI, and i'm sure they would cover the transfer cost.
