View allWe were using Organic Meadow whole milk (3.8%) for a few years, mostly 4L bags, and for 80% of milk Breville worked well. But over the past few months we had 0% success, just big bubbles that settle down very quickly. I even tried my Nespresso thinking there was something wrong with the Breville, but same result - no foam. Same problem with the coffee machine steam frother. Then I decided to try a different brand, Natrel organic 3.8%. On the second bag now with 100% success - Breville works like a charm. A bit cheaper too.
We use 2% milk with the "Latte disc".
I just cooked some stuff on both plates at 180 degrees. Cooking seemed to be pretty even
Was this an issue on both plates or just the flat one?
On Sept 6th at The Bay . . .

You're supposed to preheat before using it.
Dunno. I couldn't hold my hand over my grill for more than a few seconds. Damn thing was very hot. Turned it off, and left the grill open for over 10 minutes. Checked on it later, and it was still pretty hot. I tried it on max at 450F.
Whether these items from The Bay actually ship is anyone's guess.
My feelings with respect to Sears.ca telephone support remain unchanged. But I guess the headache was worth it this time.
You could receive warranty support from Breville or return the item to Sears for a refund.
Will report back
My order was officially, "Cancelled by Customer". I did no such thing. BTW, a_dee glad you will get your Frother earlier than expected (i.e September 15)!
His order is cancelled.
Doesn't matter. No one ships boxes without tracking numbers.
On another note, the prices were so cheap it's difficult to imagine these aren't actually refurbs being sold as "new", but that's another conversation (and although I have no proof, it's not as though physical Sears Outlet locations aren't known for selling refurbs).
You received an "unavailable" email, so they cancelled your order. They have no more clearance stock from the outlet store, so they can't fulfill your order. And if your order is cancelled, there's not much you can do. Talking to useless Sears telephone reps in the Philippines that follow scripts isn't going to help.
You can try contacting these email addresses, but I wouldn't hold your breath:
facebook@sears.ca
home@sears.ca
Log into your account, paste in your order number, and click the "lookup button".
If the order status indicates "order in progress", your order probably hasn't shipped yet.
I wouldn't trust what any of their reps in the Philippines state to you over the phone.

Apparently they used UPS for my frother though.
