Originally posted November 7: The Gap brands are bringing back their Give and Get 30% off everything promotion for 4 days only, November 12th through 15th. You'll save 30% off your entire purchase and Gap will donate 5% of the amount that customers spend to charity. Just print out this page with the coupon and present it to the cashier at your local Old Navy, Gap, Gap Outlet, Banana Republic, or Banana Republic Factory Store when you checkout.

      In the past I have tried to pay for my purchase with gift cards during this promotion and was not allowed to do it. It's not in the fine print but it's not allowed for whatever reason. It's not a chance I would recommend unless you phone ahead and get confirmation from a manager first.

I learn that the Banana Republic gift cards sold at Safeway is different than the ones you can buy at the BR store. The cards at Safeway are brown and the ones at the BR store are either black or beige.

      I bought $100 gift cards today at Safeway & will try to use it during the Give & Get event. I have my Safeway receipt to prove that I didn't get the 30%off on my cards.

    • I don't think it is legal to discriminate gift card holders because gift cards should be equivalent to cash in that store. It is like Gap only allow gift card holders to buy regular priced items but not discounted items in this case.
