Drops.
Thank OP
In theory, polarizing the light coming from the lamp should work to reduce SOME glare (which, by the way, you could do by putting a polarized lens between any lightbulb and surface) but white paper has pretty highly diffuse reflectance, so in practice, it won't help much. I'd be curious to know what surface type they used to get that 80% glare reduction figure.
Also, lol @ the '80% glare reduction' being for a 60 degree viewing angle.... Literally nobody reads paper at a 60 degree viewing zenith angle. You'd only be 30 degrees away from looking at the side of your desk.
Example. In this photo from the ad, if the woman were to be looking at the desk, she'd be at around a 30 degree viewing angle. Imagine her head being where the middle of her back is and trying to read the paper on the middle of the desk. That's around a 60 degree viewing angle. That's what you're paying for, theoretical 80% glare reduction at an absurd viewing angle.
It's ABSURDLY overpriced at the original price, and barely passable at this one, and only if you really want a touch lamp with different brightness settings. Read the reviews, the only people giving 5 stars are the ones convincing themselves it's the best thing ever after buying an overpriced/glorified lightbulb, and all the people who really needed glare reduction are disappointed.
tl;dr Props to 3M's marketing department for slapping 3 cents worth of polarizing filter on a 2 dollar lamp and charging over a hundred bucks for it.
Good job
Yep. Love the fast turn around.
Also being located in the GTA, regular free shipping arrives in 2-3 business days anyways.
If you order something once in a blue moon, it's not really worth it. The US Prime is a thousand times better than ours, which is pretty pathetic in comparison, IMHO.

edit
Brother Wireless laser DCPL2540DW is a 3-1 and on sale for 150 (reg 240). is it any good?
I bought it back then and have been pretty impressed. The biggest drawback so far is the small paper tray.
