  You have to put in a number to get the coupon, but I don't know if you need the actual phone with you when you buy something.
  If you want though, you can sign up for their email sub list, and they'll send you a coupon for 20% off.

- Well for non VM customers ask your friends from Virgin to borrow their number. I just tried it and the coupon doesn't mention anything about bringing the phone,etc.
  
  Plus you can enter the number more than once as it generates different codes each time. So buy one then walk out and go in again after to a different cashier.
